Mental health group practice providing a space for athletes to invest in their mental wellness
Elite Mental Wellness
Brand/Content Strategy, UX/UI

Elite Mental Wellness was built around a simple belief: athletes deserve the same level of investment in their mental health as they give to their physical performance.
Founded in 2023, the practice provides mental health services and resources specifically designed to support athletes through the pressures that come with competition, performance, identity, and life beyond the game.
The website needed to reflect that purpose so I created a digital experience that feels less like a traditional therapy practice and more like a brand athletes can actually see themselves work with — while still giving parents, teams, schools, and organizations the information they need to feel confident reaching out.
Athletes spend years learning how to take care of their bodies and mental health wellness deserves the same attention. That idea became the foundation for the website.
Instead of leading with clinical language or making the practice feel like "just another healthcare provider," the site was built around the athlete and the realities they experience — pressure, confidence, setbacks, expectations, life-transitions, and the constant demand to perform.
The goal was to make the first step feel easier.
Elite Mental Wellness serves more than one type of visitor. An athlete may be looking for therapy, a parent may be trying to find the right support for their child, a coach or athletic program may be looking for mental conditioning, or an organization may be interested in bringing in a specialized speaker. The website needed to make all of those paths feel intentional without making the experience complicated.
I organized the site around the questions people are most likely to have:
Who is Elite Mental Wellness? How can they help my student/child? Is this right for me or my organization? What happens next?
That created a straightforward experience that allows visitors to find the information that matters to them and move forward when they're ready.
The design needed to live somewhere between healthcare and sports culture. Too clinical, and the brand loses its connection to athletes. Too athletic, and the credibility of the practice has potential to get lost.
The visual system finds the middle ground through clean and consistent layouts, confident typography, intentional imagery, and a contemporary aesthetic that feels professional without feeling institutional. The result is a brand experience that feels serious about mental health without making mental health feel heavy.
One of the biggest opportunities was showing that Elite Mental Wellness is about more than individual therapy. The website creates a space for mental conditioning, workshops, speaking engagements, education, community, and partnerships.
That distinction matters. It positions Elite Mental Wellness as a resource within the athletic community—not just a place someone visits when something is wrong.
Translated Elite Mental Wellness' specialized focus on athletes into a clear digital brand position that differentiates the practice from traditional mental health providers.
Organized a broad range of services, resources, audiences, and opportunities into a clear navigation and user experience.
Developed the website as a broader brand platform rather than a simple therapy services site, creating dedicated pathways for athletes, families, teams, schools, organizations, and partners.
Designed and developed the responsive website with an emphasis on accessibility, usability, storytelling, and creating a trustworthy digital experience.
Structured the organization's mission, services, therapeutic approaches, founder story, partnerships, resources, and educational content into a cohesive narrative.
Established a visual direction that balances the professionalism of mental health services with the energy and culture of athletics.
Designed the website to maintain a consistent and intuitive experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Developed strategic pathways for visitors to request consultations, learn about services, inquire about speaking engagements, and connect with the practice.
A specialized business shouldn't have a generic digital presence.
The website should make the right audience feel like it was built specifically for them.
